The
work “Crushed Cayenne” is a cynical answer to the hedonistic
consum and lifestyle in the 21th century. Build out of found material
“Crushed Cayenne” is a one to one model of a crushed SUV (sport
utility vehicle).
These cars become more and more popular in the last years, and almost
each car producer has developed it’s own SUV , although they use
a lot more petrol and space and produces more co2 output than “normal”
cars.
In Club Transmediale the crashed car is placed on a platform, the crashed
car becomes through its higher position an icon character. The work can
be used as seating. In its crash the SUV develops its real aesthetic
